Model UN practice
Practice for General Assembly, Security Council, crisis and specialized committees, plus position papers, opening speeches and resolution writing.
Model UN has no single national rulebook. Each conference sets its own procedure, deadlines and position paper rules in its delegate guide. CompPrep AI gives you a place to practice the parts most conferences share.
In a practice committee session you give a 60 to 90 second opening speech, then an AI chair runs three rounds with two or three AI delegations: a moderated caucus, a point of information to you and a call for co-sponsors. You also get position paper feedback that scores six parts and lists your top 3 fixes without rewriting your paper, and resolution clause practice that checks the format and substance of each clause.
What can you practice for Model UN?
- Committees: General Assembly, Security Council, crisis and specialized agencies, each with its own pace and style of debate.
- Position papers: most conferences ask for a short paper per topic covering background, past action, your country’s policy and proposed solutions.
- Opening speeches: a 60 to 90 second statement of your country’s position and one or two solutions.
- Resolution writing: preambulatory clauses that set the context and numbered operative clauses that say what the committee will do.

Questions
Which rules does CompPrep follow?
Practice sessions use common Model UN steps, such as moderated caucuses, points of information and calls for co-sponsors. Your conference’s delegate guide always wins for procedure, timing and paper format.
Does the AI speak for real countries?
No. The chair and the other delegations are simulated for practice, and their speeches are fictional. They don’t speak for any real government.
Will the AI write my position paper?
No. It scores your paper, lists your top 3 fixes and flags facts to double-check, but it never rewrites it, and nothing you paste is saved.
Is CompPrep free for Model UN students?
Yes. The free plan includes unlimited quick practice, lessons and flashcards, one AI judge session a day and two full practice exams a week. Pro raises those limits, and a chapter plan gives every member Pro.
