Accessibility Statement
Updated: October 7, 2026
CompPrep AI should work for every student. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA in the apps, the website, and the advisor portal.
What we've built in
- Every button, field, and link has a label for VoiceOver (iPhone) and TalkBack (Android).
- Text grows with your phone's text-size setting.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG AA color contrast (4.5:1) in light and dark mode, including every competition color. We test this automatically.
- Buttons and controls are at least 44 by 44 points.
- Everything works with a keyboard on the web and on tablets, with visible focus outlines.
- Error messages are announced to screen readers.
- Information is never shown by color alone.
- No flashing content.
- Practice timers can be paused, and AI judge sessions show a written transcript.
Known limitations
- Spoken AI judge practice needs a microphone. A typed-response mode will always be available as an alternative.
